Project Completed: The Cutter Restoration
Major maintenance was completed in Fall of 2011.This home is one of, if not the most iconic representations
of turn of the century wealth in the City of Spokane. At over 22,000 sq ft, it is the largest home in the City,
and certainly one of the most recognizable. All outside trims, including original stucco, balconies, and
sash were carefully reconstructed in order to maintain original detail & quality. New roofing included a
"green" alternative to original slate, manufactured from recycled rubber tires, the wooden greenhouse roof
received a new steel structure on the existing foundation. All work was monitored by the Historic Preservation
Society to assure integrity & quality. This type of project represented
the best of challenges for Doric, Inc.
