New Project: The Methow Riverwalk
The nearly 7 acre site has approximately 800’ feet of river front on the Twisp River. It is located two blocks
from the Twisp business district, and three blocks from highway 20, the major arterial through the valley.
The north property line is adjacent to a city park which contains the valley’s only public swimming pool.
The majority of the site, approximately 5 acres, is within the flood plain. No building is planned for this area,
so it will be maintained as open space. Adjacent to the south property line is an existing Okanogan County
Housing Authority housing development. The Housing Authority will be the ultimate owner of this project.
In addition to its proximity to the existing housing authority, the site has excellent solar exposure with good
potential for use as a renewable energy resource.
